Dr Sybil Stacpoole

Dr Sybil Stacpoole is a highly qualified Consultant Neurologist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide spectrum of neurological conditions. She specialises in general neurology as well as complex neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory disorders, working closely with patients to deliver thorough assessments, clear diagnoses, and personalised treatment plans.

In her clinical practice, Dr Stacpoole holds an expert sub-specialty focus on Multiple Sclerosis. She offers comprehensive management for neuroinflammatory conditions, including the administration and monitoring of advanced disease-modifying therapies. Her clinical work encompasses broad neurological assessments, diagnostic evaluations for central nervous system disorders, and tailored therapeutic interventions aimed at optimising long-term neurological health and quality of life.

Dr Stacpoole graduated with her medical degree from the University of Cambridge Medical School in 2003. She subsequently completed extensive higher specialist training in neurology and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2012, focusing her doctoral research on neural stem cell biology and repair mechanisms relevant to Multiple Sclerosis. Demonstrating a strong commitment to medical pedagogy, she also obtained a Master's degree in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge in 2023. Dr Stacpoole is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and an active Member of the Association of British Neurologists.
