Dr Susannah Deamer

Dr Susannah Deamer is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in paediatric diabetes and endocrinology. Dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care, she provides comprehensive medical evaluation and ongoing management for infants, children, and young people facing a broad spectrum of general paediatric and complex endocrine conditions. Dr Deamer focuses on creating a reassuring clinical environment where young patients and their families feel heard, supported, and fully involved in every stage of their care.

Dr Deamer earned her undergraduate medical qualification from Leicester Medical School, graduating at the top of her year. She subsequently completed her post-graduate specialist clinical training within the Wessex deanery. Demonstrating a strong commitment to higher education and sub-specialty excellence, she completed a Master of Science in Paediatric Diabetes from the University of Warwick, alongside a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Medical Practice from Bournemouth University. She is also a recognised fellow and professional mentor within the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, serving in key champion roles to guide and support junior doctors and clinical peers.

In her clinical practice, Dr Deamer focuses extensively on managing paediatric diabetes, hormonal disorders, and growth and endocrine health conditions. She holds a dedicated interest in transition care, supporting older adolescents as they move from paediatric to adult health services to ensure seamless continuity of care. Working alongside multi-disciplinary healthcare teams, Dr Deamer combines clinical expertise with evidence-based practices to help families effectively manage chronic conditions and achieve optimal health outcomes.
