Dr Susan Hendrickson

Dr Susan Hendrickson is a dedicated Plastic Surgeon who provides compassionate and comprehensive care focused on functional and aesthetic restorative procedures. She delivers empathetic, patient-centred surgical support, ensuring that individuals requiring complex reconstructive interventions receive clear guidance, professional reassurance, and tailored care plans throughout their treatment journey. Her clinical work encompasses both emergency trauma management and elective reconstructive procedures.

Dr Hendrickson has developed particular clinical expertise in major trauma reconstruction, soft tissue defect repair, and extremity trauma management. Her surgical practice covers complex wound management, microsurgery, lower limb reconstructive surgery, and the excision of skin lesions. She is also skilled in advanced reconstructive techniques, including the use of synthetic skin substitutes and dermal matrices to manage severe tissue deficits following trauma.

Dr Hendrickson earned her MBBS medical degree following her studies at St John's College, Oxford and University College London. She subsequently completed Foundation and Core Surgical Training before undertaking specialist higher training as a Specialist Registrar in Plastic Surgery. She has held prominent leadership positions within surgical governance and training, serving as Vice President and Sponsorship Representative on the Executive Committee of the Plastic Surgery Trainees Association, working in close collaboration with the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons. Furthermore, she actively contributes to medical education and surgical literature as a co-author of plastic surgery reference materials.
