Dr. Suchitra Rajan

Dr Suchitra Rajan is an experienced Consultant Dermatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality care for patients with a wide range of dermatological conditions. She takes a reassuring and patient-centred approach to clinical practice, working closely with individuals to thoroughly evaluate their symptoms and create personalised treatment plans tailored to their specific healthcare needs.

Dr Rajan earned her primary medical degree (MBBS) from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute in Chennai, India, qualifying in 2001. She subsequently undertook postgraduate specialist training in Dermatology, earning Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) as well as the Specialty Certificate in Dermatology (MRCP Derm UK). She maintains active professional memberships with the Royal College of Physicians and the British Society for Vulval Dermatology.

Her clinical practice encompasses general dermatology, with a particular interest in managing chronic inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and adult acne. Dr Rajan also holds specialised focus in vulval dermatology and the early detection and management of skin cancer and melanoma. To deliver accurate diagnoses and effective treatment, she performs diagnostic dermoscopy, mole evaluations, diagnostic skin biopsies, and minor skin surgery, including punch, shave, incisional, and excision biopsies, alongside curettage and cautery.
