Dr Stephen Keay

Dr Stephen Keay is a highly dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in reproductive medicine and fertility care. He provides supportive and compassionate guidance to individuals and couples navigating reproductive health concerns and family-building journeys. Dr Keay is committed to delivering individualised, evidence-based care tailored to the unique clinical needs of each patient within a reassuring environment.

In his clinical practice, Dr Keay focuses extensively on reproductive endocrinology and assisted conception. His expertise encompasses the comprehensive assessment and management of subfertility, including treatments such as in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). He maintains a strong clinical interest in the mechanisms controlling ovarian response to stimulation, the management of poor ovarian response, and fertility preservation options.

Dr Keay completed his undergraduate medical degree at Edinburgh University, where he also undertook his foundational clinical training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Bristol University, where his research thesis investigated ovarian response to gonadotrophin stimulation during fertility cycles. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Keay holds significant leadership and academic roles, having served as a Clinical Director and as a Training Programme Director overseeing postgraduate medical education in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
