About Mr Stephen Hannah

Mr. Stephen Hannah is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on upper limb surgery, particularly shoulder-related conditions. After graduating from the University of Glasgow Medical School in 2008, Mr. Hannah completed his orthopaedic training in the west of Scotland and the north of England. He further honed his expertise through two sub-specialist upper limb fellowships in Australia, first at the Melbourne Shoulder & Elbow Centre and then at the Epworth Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship.

Mr. Hannah’s practice is dedicated to upper limb orthopaedics, though he maintains a busy trauma practice treating both upper and lower limb injuries, including children from the age of five. His primary interest lies in shoulder replacement surgery, where he employs the latest technological advances, such as computer-assisted planning and patient-specific instrumentation, to enhance surgical outcomes.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Hannah is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and junior doctors in his NHS practice. He is also a recognised trainer for specialist trainees in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. An advocate of research, Mr. Hannah has contributed to peer-reviewed publications in his field.

Mr. Hannah is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, demonstrating his commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in orthopaedic surgery.
