Stephen Hancock

Stephen Hancock is a skilled massage therapist currently practising at the True Physio clinics in Stafford and Crewe. He has been part of the True Physiotherapy team for three years, working as a sports massage therapist for the past two years while continuing to develop his clinical expertise through postgraduate study.

Stephen is currently completing a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at Keele University and is due to graduate in 2025. Alongside his academic training, he holds a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and has completed a foundation course in acupuncture, allowing him to offer a well-rounded and evidence-informed approach to treatment.

His clinical interests focus on the management of musculoskeletal conditions, with a particular passion for treating shoulder-related issues. Stephen combines hands-on manual therapy and sports massage techniques with tailored exercise programmes to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and achieve their individual goals. Whether supporting a return to sport or helping manage everyday aches and pains, he is committed to providing effective, patient-centred care.

Outside the clinic, Stephen is a dedicated tennis player and enjoys a range of physical activities including hiking, climbing, and strength training. His active lifestyle supports his understanding of movement, performance, and recovery.
