About Mr Soo Park
Dr. Soo Park is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract surgery, medical retina, and uveitis. He has earned significant recognition in his field, receiving prestigious awards such as the Medicine Publishing Company/Glaxo Welcome Medical Fellowship Award and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Annual Congress prize for the best poster presentation. Additionally, he has secured grants from notable institutions including Alcon Research and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Currently, Dr. Park serves as a consultant at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and University Hospital Hairmyres, where he leads the Uveitis department. His role extends to academia as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, where he educates medical students and trainee ophthalmologists in general ophthalmology and cataract surgery. He is also an active member of the Scottish Uveitis Network.

I have left a review about MR Soo Park already, But here we go, MR Soo Park was great he answered all my questions and made me feel relaxed. The surgery took no time at all I was getting both eyes done and it took tops 15 minutes tops after the operation I went home and slept for 6-7 hours when I woke I couldn't believe how much colour I had been missing in my life. I felt safe and was made comfortable throughout my consultation and surgery. Mr Park has a calm and reassuring manner. My surgery was completed with only slight discomfort which I had been advised may happen. Overall I would be happy to under his care again.

I was expecting more commentary during the procedure. I was uncertain about what the correct protocol was and did not want to disrupt the operation. However, I would have appreciated more commentary so that I knew what was happening, or else an explanation that this commentary could not be offered.

Mr Park was polite and had a very calming presence. He explained the cataract procedure to me & gave me time to ask questions.
He was calm and professional, explained things well and the operations were both highly successful.
Everything was explained to me in detail, and the operation was completed very quickly with no stress whatsoever.
Second surgery on my left eye. Been two weeks since my first surgery on my right eye. First class service and treatment. Very professional staff and I was treated with respect and dignity. My wife was looked after in the comfortable reception area. Coffee and biscuits were served.
