Dr Simon Rinaldi

Dr Simon Rinaldi is an experienced Consultant Neurologist and Clinician Scientist who specialises in the diagnosis and management of peripheral nerve disorders and complex neurological conditions. With a dedicated clinical focus on neuroimmunology, he provides supportive and thorough care to individuals facing disabling nerve conditions. Dr Rinaldi is committed to integrating clinical insights into patient care to deliver precise evaluations and tailored treatment strategies.

Dr Rinaldi earned his Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in 2002 and his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2003 from the University of Manchester. He attained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) in 2006 before completing a PhD investigating the neuroimmunology of inflammatory nerve disease at the University of Glasgow in 2011. In the same year, he earned his MRCP in Neurology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and in 2015, he completed his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Neurology. He maintains professional membership with the Royal College of Physicians.

In his clinical practice, Dr Rinaldi focuses on autoimmune and inflammatory neuropathies, offering specialised evaluation and management for patients experiencing nerve damage, weakness, and sensory loss. His clinical interests encompass conditions such as Guillain-Barré syndrome, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, multifocal motor neuropathy, and autoimmune nodopathies. He utilises advanced diagnostic services, including specialised autoantibody testing, alongside targeted immunotherapies to help manage symptoms, reduce disability, and support recovery. Dr Rinaldi maintains a patient-centred approach, helping patients understand their condition and working collaboratively to achieve optimal functional outcomes.
