Mr Simon Glasgow

Mr Simon Glasgow is a highly accomplished Consultant Vascular Surgeon who specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex circulatory and vascular conditions. Combining advanced open surgical techniques with contemporary, minimally invasive endovascular procedures, he provides tailored care for a wide spectrum of arterial, venous, and traumatic vascular disorders. His clinical approach focuses on delivering evidence-based treatments that prioritise patient safety, functional recovery, and long-term health outcomes.

Mr Glasgow obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from University College London, qualifying in 2006. He subsequently completed a PhD in Operational Research at Queen Mary University of London in 2016. In addition to earning his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Vascular Surgery in 2021, he holds post-qualification diplomas in the Medical Care of Catastrophes and Global Health. Mr Glasgow is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and maintains active professional memberships with the Vascular Society for Great Britain & Ireland, the European Society of Vascular Surgery, and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.

Throughout his career, Mr Glasgow has developed extensive expertise across all areas of vascular healthcare. His clinical practice encompasses the management of aortic aneurysms, carotid artery stenosis for stroke prevention, peripheral arterial disease, and limb-threatening diabetic foot complications. He also offers comprehensive care for venous disease, including modern endovenous and microsurgical treatments for varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic venous ulcers. Additionally, as a skilled Trauma Surgeon, he possesses specialist expertise in the emergency management and reconstruction of severe vascular injuries.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Mr Glasgow is actively involved in surgical education and academic research. As a Senior Clinical Lecturer, he contributes significantly to undergraduate medical training and clinical research in vascular care and trauma systems.
