About Dr Sihem Imessaoudene
Dr Imessaoudene obtained her MD from the prestigious Faculté de Médecine d’Alger in 2006. She subsequently completed her postgraduate specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the United Kingdom through the East of England Deanery.
She undertook advanced training in open surgery, laparoscopic surgery and hysteroscopy, developing extensive expertise in both diagnostic and operative gynaecological procedures. In 2020, she was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
Dr Imessaoudene attained Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2017.
A passionate medical educator, Dr Imessaoudene is a preceptor for the Benign Gynaecology Advanced Training Skills Module (ATSM). She has contributed to the organisation of regional training sessions and has been involved in training through the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and the East of England Deanery. She is committed to teaching, mentoring and supporting the development of medical students, junior doctors and specialist trainees.

From start to finish everything went smoothly, all staff put me at ease. The only complaint which isn't really one is being sent home with preloaded blood thinning injections to administer. I was quite nervous as never injected myself, was a big expectation and one I wasn't expecting. Obviously I understand if there was an easier alternative I would have been given one. Thank you to all staff at the hospital, they are all truly amazing!

Dr Imessaoudene was absolutely fantastic throughout an incredibly difficult and frightening time. She was always clear, knowledgeable and reassuring, and made herself available whenever we had questions or needed support. Her bedside manner was incredible and she genuinely made me feel cared for and listened to. I’m so grateful for the kindness, reassurance and support she gave me, she made a really difficult time that little bit easier, and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.
