Mr Siddharth Gowrishankar

Mr Siddharth Gowrishankar is a dedicated Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who provides comprehensive clinical care for conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and neck. Dual-qualified in both dentistry and medicine, he brings an exceptional depth of expertise to the diagnosis and surgical management of complex head and neck issues. His objective, patient-centred approach ensures that individuals receive clear advice, evidence-based guidance, and personalised care tailored to their unique circumstances.

Mr Gowrishankar commenced his clinical training by graduating with honours in dentistry in 2000, subsequently completing a three-year postgraduate Master's degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2005. He completed his medical degree at Barts and The Royal London in 2010, followed by surgical training and advanced Fellowships in Belgium and Spain focusing on facial deformity and temporomandibular joint surgery. He holds Fellowships with both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Active in professional leadership and education, he serves as an Honorary Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has served as an Education Representative for the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

In his clinical practice, Mr Gowrishankar offers care across the full spectrum of oral and maxillofacial conditions. His primary areas of clinical interest include dentoalveolar surgery, dentofacial deformity, maxillofacial trauma, and minimal access temporomandibular joint surgery. He routinely undertakes procedures such as wisdom teeth removal, treatment for dental cysts and oral lesions, periapical surgery, and pre-prosthetic surgical care. Additionally, he works alongside multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with neurosurgeons on complex craniofacial trauma and supporting orthodontists in orthognathic care.

Through his dedication to clinical excellence and medical education, Mr Gowrishankar actively organises surgical training courses, authors textbook chapters, and presents at national and international medical conferences. His focus remains on delivering high-quality diagnostic and surgical care while ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout their treatment.
