Dr. Sheel Mehta

Dr. Sheel Mehta is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in the management of uro-oncological cancers, with a particular focus on prostate brachytherapy.

Dr. Mehta earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from University College London (UCL) in 2010. Her postgraduate career has been marked by significant roles at renowned healthcare institutions, where she has honed her expertise in clinical oncology.

In her current role at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, which she has held since 2021, Dr. Mehta provides comprehensive cancer care, including advanced treatment modalities like prostate brachytherapy. She previously served as a Prostate Brachytherapy Fellow at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, where she further developed her proficiency in this specialised field.

Dr. Mehta has also held various key positions, including Locum Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Clinical Oncology Registrar, at leading institutions such as GenesisCare, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, and the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. 

In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Mehta is actively involved in training and mentoring junior doctors, contributing to the development of the next generation of oncology specialists. Known for her patient-centred approach, she is committed to employing innovative therapies and personalised care plans to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
