About Dr Sara Khaksar
Dr Sara Khaksar is a Clinical Oncologist with a private practice at Genesis Care at Cromwell Hospital, Guildford, and Windsor, and the Nuffield Hospital Guildford .

Dr Khaksar undertook her medical qualifications in 1993 at the University of Wales and went on to complete clinical oncology training in London and fellowship training at Princess Margarets Hospital Toronto and the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
In 2004, she undertook a fellowship in Prostate Brachytherapy at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. During this time, she audited, presented, and published the results of the centre. She also developed the procedure from a two-stage procedure to a one-stage real-time implant, which is now the standard practice.
She was a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Surrey in 2006 until 2021 and was radiotherapy development lead and brachytherapy clinical lead from 2016 until 2021.
She was active in research and a principal investigator on a number of clinical trials. She has an interest in medical education and was the Royal College Clinical Tutor for clinical oncology trainees at the centre from 2019 to 2021.
