Dr. Shariff Hazarika

Mr. Shariff Hazarika is a highly regarded foot and ankle specialist with a wealth of experience and expertise in his field. Serving as a full-time NHS consultant, based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley since 2012, Mr. Hazarika is dedicated to patient care.

Having completed his Trauma and Orthopaedic training in the North of England, Mr. Hazarika further honed his skills through a prestigious fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Under the guidance of Senthil Kumar, he gained invaluable experience and expertise in complex foot and ankle procedures.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Hazarika is an Academic Clinical Educator for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, where he shares his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of healthcare professionals. He has also been instrumental in teaching national foot and ankle courses for consultants and trainees.

Passionate about clinical research and audit, Mr. Hazarika has presented his work at national and international conferences. He also undertakes medicolegal work, including personal injury report writing, leveraging his expertise to provide expert opinions and guidance.

At Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital, Mr. Hazarika specialises in a range of treatments, including ankle arthroplasty, bunion correction surgery, flat foot correction surgery, and ankle ligament instability surgery. He is committed to delivering the highest standard of care, grounded in evidence-based practice.
