Dr Sebastian Zeki works as a gastroenterologist at St Thomas' Hospital in London, one of the country's leading tertiary referral centres. In addition, he is a senior clinical lecturer at Kings College University and the Barts Cancer Institute.

Dr Zeki earned his medical degree in 2001 from Cambridge University and University College London.
He completed his postgraduate medical studies in London, as well as a PhD in the genomics of oesophageal cancer. His work was presented at national and international events and gained multiple awards from the British, European, and American Gastroenterological Societies. Following that, he pursued more clinical training as well as postdoctoral research at Addenbrooke's Hospital and the Medical Research Council Hutchison laboratory in Cambridge, as well as Jikei University Hospital in Tokyo.
His broad expertise has given him a unique skill set in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of gastroenterological symptoms ranging from reflux to endoscopic cancer resections.
Dr Zeki has research interests in upper gastrointestinal cancer diagnosis and therapy, as well as the detection of their precursors. He also has a clinical and research interest in food allergies and their impact on the gut, which includes conditions such as eosinophilic oesophagitis, as well as oesophageal motility disorders and acid reflux-related problems.

Couldnt ask for a better, more patient, knowledgable and throughout doctor. He knows how to explain things to you, course of your treatment, and is very patient whilst assessing your condition. During both endoscopy and colonoscopy, he made me feel absolutely confident, safe, took all my concerns into consideration. I feel like I've finally find a great gastroenterologist in London. That's reassuring and relieving. Thank you Dr. Sebastian!

Dr Zeki is very pleasant and considerate. He took time to listen carefully to my health concerns and to ask questions to which he gave detailed responses. He explained in detail the tests and procedures that I was going to have in a reassuring and careful manner. Dr Zeki performed one of the procedures and throughout the process he was calm, and talked me through everything which was so reassuring. Appointments was always on time and the follow information was excellent. I am pleased to have seen Dr Zeki and delighted with the care and treatment shown throughout my time in his care.
