Dr. Satyajit Nag

Dr. Satyajit Nag is a dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist and Consultant Physician specialising in diabetes, general internal medicine, and broad endocrine health. He provides compassionate, reassuring care for individuals managing complex metabolic and hormonal conditions. Dr. Nag's clinical work encompasses all aspects of general endocrinology and diabetes management, with a key focus on complex Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, acute inpatient diabetes care, and the management of acute metabolic emergencies.

In his sub-specialist practice, Dr. Nag has developed extensive expertise in the evaluation and management of thyroid conditions, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Graves' disease, thyroid nodules, goitres, and thyroid cancer. He regularly assesses and treats complex pituitary disorders, pituitary tumours, and hyperprolactinaemia, as well as adrenal gland diseases, phaeochromocytoma, and endocrine hypertension. His clinical interests also extend to parathyroid disease, metabolic bone disease, male hypogonadism, paediatric transition endocrinology for young adults, and familial endocrine cancer genetic syndromes, such as Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) and Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) syndrome.

Dr. Nag qualified in medicine in 1994. He subsequently completed higher specialist training in general internal medicine, diabetes, and endocrinology through a regional rotation, alongside formal postgraduate research focused on diabetes epidemiology and mortality. In 2009, he was elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP London). Demonstrating an active commitment to clinical governance, education, and multidisciplinary care, Dr. Nag has served as a Regional Adviser for the Royal College of Physicians and leads regional multidisciplinary team meetings for endocrine and thyroid cancers.
