Dr Sarah Howles

Dr Sarah Howles is an accomplished Consultant Urological Surgeon and Associate Professor who specialises in the comprehensive management of complex urological conditions. Known for her reassuring and patient-centred approach, Dr Howles is dedicated to providing personalised care that combines surgical expertise with clear communication, helping patients feel supported throughout their diagnosis and treatment.

Her primary clinical focus lies in Endourology and the management of kidney stone disease, also known as nephrolithiasis. As a specialist in General Urology and Academic Urology, Dr Howles provides thorough clinical assessments, endourological surgical interventions, and metabolic evaluations aimed at preventing recurrent stone formation. Her clinical practice is closely integrated with research into calcium homeostasis and kidney disorders, allowing her to offer modern, evidence-based therapies for metabolic urinary conditions.

Dr Howles completed her medical education at Cambridge University and Oxford University, qualifying in 2005. She subsequently undertook postgraduate research to earn a Doctorate of Philosophy (DPhil) focused on disorders of calcium homeostasis and kidney function.
