Dr Almashat obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad in 2005. After relocating to the United Kingdom, she worked as a Maxillofacial Surgeon at a prominent NHS trust hospital to gain extensive experience in oral surgery. She achieved her membership with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (MFDS) in 2009. Committed to continuous professional development, she also earned a Diploma in Evidence Based Dentistry from Teesside University in 2009 and a Certificate in Restorative Dentistry in 2015.
