Dr Sandip Nandhra

Dr Sandip Nandhra is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Endovascular Surgeon providing dedicated surgical and interventional care for patients with arterial and venous disorders. Specialising in both traditional open surgical procedures and advanced minimally invasive keyhole techniques, Dr Nandhra manages a wide range of vascular conditions. His key areas of focus include peripheral arterial disease, acute limb ischaemia, chronic limb-threatening ischaemia, and deep venous disease, alongside common conditions such as varicose veins, venous ulceration, and deep vein thrombosis. He is committed to delivering patient-centred care that restores circulation, relieves symptoms, and preserves long-term mobility.

Dr Nandhra completed his primary medical qualification at Hull-York Medical School in 2008. He subsequently earned a Doctorate of Medical Sciences specialising in venous disease, alongside postgraduate certificates in Vascular Ultrasound and Medical Education. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds professional memberships with several leading bodies, including the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, where he serves on the Research Council. Additionally, Dr Nandhra is a council member of the British Society of Endovascular Therapy and the Royal Society of Medicine Venous Forum, and is a Past-President of the Vascular and Endovascular Research Network.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Nandhra serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer and leads major research initiatives aimed at improving treatment strategies for vascular conditions. His clinical research focuses on optimising outcomes in acute limb ischaemia, advancing deep venous interventions, and evaluating the impact of circulation changes on muscle function. By integrating evidence-based medicine with modern surgical techniques, Dr Nandhra provides reassuring, high-quality care tailored to the individual needs of every patient.
