Dr. Sameena Rashid

Miss Sameena Rashid is an experienced Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in dermatological surgery, skin cancer management, and facial aesthetics. She graduated from the University of Glasgow Medical School in 2001, obtaining her BSc (MedSci) Hons and MBChB. She subsequently completed higher surgical training, gaining Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Ed), and earned a Master of Medicine (MMed) degree in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland.

Her clinical practice centres on advanced surgical excision of benign and malignant skin lesions, complex tissue reconstruction, and facial aesthetic rejuvenation. Following her higher surgical training, Miss Rashid undertook postgraduate research at the Professorial Unit within the Queen's Medical Research Institute and completed a specialist Plastic Surgery Fellowship, gaining certification in facial aesthetic procedures.

Alongside her clinical practice, Miss Rashid serves as a Senior Lecturer within the Skin Cancer Unit at the University of Queensland Medical School and acts as an examiner for medical students at the University of Glasgow Medical School. A recognised clinical leader in public health, she serves as a lead clinician spearheading the Scottish Government's National Dermatology Campaign within the National Elective Coordination Unit to support national waiting times recovery.
