Miss Samantha Williams is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon practising at The Ridgeway Hospital, Swindon, and at The Great Western Hospital, where she was appointed as a consultant in October 2019. She specialises in breast cancer surgery, breast reconstruction, and cosmetic breast procedures.
Miss Williams completed her medical degree at Imperial College School of Medicine in 2005 and undertook her foundation training in London before securing a run-through training number for General Surgery in the Severn Deanery in 2007. Following completion of her general surgical training, she was awarded a prestigious Training Interface Group (TIG) Fellowship, where she gained advanced experience in cosmetic, plastic, and oncoplastic breast surgery under the guidance of leading breast and plastic surgeons.
Her specialist interests include breast conservation surgery for breast cancer, therapeutic mammoplasty, and chest wall perforator flap reconstructions, enabling removal of large cancers without the need for mastectomy. She also collaborates with plastic surgeons to perform DIEP (autologous) breast reconstructions and uses a patient-centred approach to achieve optimal cosmetic and functional outcomes.
Miss Williams serves as Clinical Governance Lead for the breast surgical department at Great Western Hospital, overseeing clinical audits and quality standards. She is also an Undergraduate Surgical Tutor for Bristol, King’s, and Oxford medical students. In 2017, she was awarded Severn Deanery Trainee of the Year, recognising her commitment to education and training.
She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Association of Breast Surgeons, the Medical Defence Union, and the General Medical Council.

Miss Williams was so kind and welcoming. She was knowledgeable and reassuring. I could not have asked for more. Thank you.
Miss Williams was really thorough in her examination and explanation of what she observed. Her manner was kind and comforting which put me at ease. Her understanding for why I was visiting helped alleviate my feeling silly for wanting to check out my concern. Thank you so much.
Sam consistently demonstrates exceptional kindness and genuine concern for my well-being, providing clear guidance regarding the subsequent stages of my treatment. I am truly grateful for her unwavering support throughout my cancer journey.

I would highly recommend Samantha Williams. She listened carefully to all my concerns before examination and answered all of my questions without rushing me. She was incredibly kind, compassionate and reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to see Samantha.

It would be a pleasure to see you again, thank you for your review
Sam is a very caring surgeon who goes above and beyond in giving you all the time you need to understand your options and the treatment you will be undergoing. Nothing ever appears to be too much trouble for her and she always manages to reassure you in what is a very difficult time. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Lovely review, thank you
Friendly and very knowledgeable consultant who was very reassuring and answered all my questions to put my mind at ease.

Thank you
Miss Williams always puts me at my ease, is very kind and takes me seriously- most reassuring. The operation has indeed been life-changing, As big procedure to undertake but I had every confidence in Miss Williams and am so delighted with the results. Miss Williams has been very reassuring and follow-up care has been excellent.

Thank you
From my first consultation meeting with Sam I felt at ease. We talked about what I was aiming to achieve in terms of look. She was interested to understand my drive and motivation for having the breast augmentation procedure and I felt this helped her understand me more as a patient. She described the process in simple terms (I did not need to hear the gore) and was clear about the recovery journey after the operation. The measuring consultation came next where various sizes and shapes were explored having viewed links of lots of boobies – so many to choose from. Using implants with a surgical bra was a good indicator of my post-op look but my final results were so much better. On the day of the operation I was reassured to see Sam’s smiling face in the hospital room I had been allocated. She ran through the procedure, timings and completely put me at ease. Post-op I saw Sam the morning after my procedure where she explained how the size we had spoke about were too big for my breast cavity so she opted for the slightly smaller size. This act proved how Sam had fully understood my vision for natural looking breasts, I was truly grateful she had made this decision. I absolutely made the correct decision to have Sam operate on me, my final look is fabulous and so much better than I could have ever imagined. My body confidence has increased massively and I finally, at the age of 53, feel comfortable in my appearance. No cleavage on show, no skimpy low-cut tops, just womanly clothing and self-love for my new look.

Lovely review, thank you so much
Choosing Sam was the best decision I’ve made. She is incredibly kind and genuinely took the time to understand exactly what I wanted for my breast reduction surgery. I’m only two weeks post op, but the results have exceeded all my expectations. The whole process was such a positive and enjoyable experience as well. If you’re considering Sam as your surgeon, I can’t recommend her enough. She’s made me very happy indeed and on top of that, she’s a really lovely person to be around.

Thank you for such a lovely review
