About Miss Chrissie Laban
Miss Chrissie Laban is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon with a BSc, MRCS, MD, and FRCS. She graduated from St Bartholomew’s Medical School in 1996 and was awarded an MD for research into breast cancer cell growth, which led to multiple national and international presentations and publications.
She completed her surgical training in Wessex and subsequently undertook a year as a senior registrar in oncoplastic breast surgery in Edinburgh. She has worked as a locum Breast Consultant Surgeon in Nottingham and Bournemouth, specialising in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery.
Miss Laban collaborates with local plastic surgeons to perform mastectomy and DIEP breast reconstruction. Her clinical interests include breast surgery for benign and malignant disease, oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, mastectomy, DIEP breast reconstruction, breast reduction, and breast uplift (mastopexy).
She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, the Medical Defence Union, and the Association of Breast Surgeons.

I cannot recommend Chrissie highly enough. She operated on me for my mastectomy two years ago and my inflator surgery just two weeks ago, and every step of the way she has been absolutely amazing. Even though being told that I had cancer was difficult, Chrissie made the news easier to bear and my recovery feel achievable. She has such a wonderfully calming presence, is incredibly knowledgeable, and explains every current and future process clearly and thoroughly. You are completely in safe hands with Chrissie. She is conscientious, meticulous, and genuinely caring. Thank you so much, Chrissie. I am happy that you were assigned as my surgeon and that I have had the opportunity to continue with my journey from flat to symmetrical with you.
The visit was efficiently managed, as well as being done in a kindly and reassuring manner. With all visits to clinic, and throughout the surgery, I have found a high level of professionalism, whilst still having a high regard for me as a person.
