Mrs Sally Picton

Sally Ann Picton is an experienced psychotherapist who rejoined Priory in 2020, working with their new outpatient service in Bristol. She previously served at Priory Hospital Bristol for many years, initially as an administrator and later as a therapist, before 2013. In her current role, Sally provides both long-term and short-term counselling and psychotherapy on a one-to-one basis for outpatients.

Sally's academic background includes a Post-Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling with a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from the University of Wales. Her commitment to professional development is reflected in her further qualifications, including a Post-Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Practice from the University of Exeter, completed in 2015. Additionally, Sally has received training in Advanced Counselling Skills from the University of Exeter and Intermediate Counselling Skills from the City of Bristol College.

Her research interests centre around Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and relationship issues, areas in which she has significant experience. As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Sally adheres strictly to their ethical guidelines, employing evidence-based practices and a diverse range of therapeutic interventions to assist clients in resolving issues and achieving their potential.
