Dr Ryan Wood

Dr Ryan Wood is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in lower limb conditions, sports injuries, and complex knee procedures. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred, reassuring care, Dr Wood focuses on helping individuals regain full mobility, reduce pain, and return to their active lifestyles. He places a strong emphasis on modern, evidence-based joint preservation techniques and tailored treatment strategies for every patient.

In his clinical practice, Dr Wood offers a comprehensive range of surgical and non-surgical treatments. His expertise includes keyhole knee surgery, anterior cruciate ligament repair, knee ligament reconstruction, patella stabilisation, and meniscus tear surgery. Additionally, Dr Wood regularly performs primary full, partial, and revision knee replacements, joint injections, and hip replacement procedures, providing thorough care for both acute sports trauma and chronic joint degeneration.

Dr Wood completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree and Master of Arts at the University of Oxford, qualifying in 2005. He gained extensive foundational experience as a Medical Officer in the British Army before completing higher specialist registrar training in the East of England rotation. To further advance his expertise, Dr Wood undertook dedicated Fellowship training in sports surgery at the world-renowned Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in Ontario. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
