Dr Ruth Wragg

Dr Ruth Wragg is an accomplished Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Consultant Paediatric Urologist who is dedicated to delivering high-quality surgical care to infants, children, and young people. She specialises in managing a wide range of general paediatric surgical conditions as well as complex urological disorders. Known for her reassuring and compassionate approach, Dr Wragg works closely with families to ensure that every patient receives tailored, patient-centred treatment.

Dr Wragg qualified in medicine after obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Following rigorous specialist surgical training, she achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Paediatric Surgery (FRCS Paed Surg). Beyond her clinical commitments, she is actively involved in postgraduate medical education, serving as a Training Programme Director for Paediatric Surgery to help train and mentor future surgical specialists.

In her clinical practice, Dr Wragg has particular expertise in complex paediatric urology, including the surgical and medical management of conditions such as hypospadias, posterior urethral valves, and bladder outlet obstruction. She also focuses on reducing the risk of urinary tract infections in complex urological cases and performing key surgical interventions in young patients. Her commitment to advancing paediatric healthcare is further demonstrated through her contributions to clinical research and her work co-editing medical textbooks dedicated to paediatric surgical education.
