Dr Ruth Poole is an experienced Consultant Endocrinologist who provides comprehensive care for patients with endocrine, diabetic, and metabolic conditions. She focuses on delivering thorough diagnostic assessments and personalised, evidence-based management plans designed to improve long-term patient well-being. Through a compassionate and structured approach, Dr Poole supports individuals in effectively navigating complex hormonal and metabolic diagnoses.

Her clinical scope encompasses all aspects of general endocrinology, including the diagnosis and management of thyroid disease, adrenal disease, pituitary disease, and reproductive endocrinology. In her diabetes practice, Dr Poole specialises in diabetes management, diabetic eye disease, metabolic syndrome, and obesity care. Dr Poole completed her primary medical degree at the University of Southampton. She subsequently undertook her higher specialist clinical training within the Wessex region, during which she dedicated two years to clinical research focused on tissue-specific insulin sensitivity and the metabolic syndrome.
