She also serves as the regional lead for genetic forms of diabetes in West Berkshire.

Dr. Kavvoura earned her medical degree with first-class honours from the University of Ioannina, School of Medicine, in 2005. She completed her PhD in Genetic Epidemiology at the same university, leading to several publications in esteemed scientific journals. Her clinical training took place at the East of England and Oxford, and she served as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford from 2012 to 2016, receiving awards from organisations like the American Diabetes Association and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kavvoura is actively involved in medical education. She serves as the Foundation Training Programme Director at the Oxford Foundation School and regularly teaches medical students, doctors in training, and other healthcare professionals.

I have been under the medical supervision with Dr Kavvoura for nearly 2 years. During this whole process I have found her to be extremely professional and supportive. I’ve had a wonderful experience with Dr Kavvoura, whom I’m seeing since three years for PCOS. The excessive facial and body hair I used to have has hugely improved. She was also instrumental in ruling out gyane problems, including possibly cancer, related to my periods. She’s always willing to hear my concerns and find solutions, while advising me gently on things that she can’t help with.
