    Dr Rupinder Kochhar is a consultant endocrinologist based at the Lancashire Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, where he leads the clinical service for the management of endocrine complications related to cancer and cancer treatments. He practises privately at The Beaumont Hospital and Greater Lancashire Hospital.

    Dr Kochhar specialises in the following areas:

    • Pituitary disorders
    • Thyroid disorders
    • Parathyroid disorders
    • Adrenal disorders
    • Reproductive disorders
    • Metabolic Bone disorders

    He also has a particular interests in the management of male and female hypogonadism (testosterone replacement therapy and menopause). Additionally, he is experienced in weight management, diabetes, and its complications. He treats both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and has expertise in diabetes technology such as continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pumps. He is the current lead for the young person diabetes service, and he also runs the insulin pump service at Lancashire Teaching NHS Hospitals.

    Dr Kochhar gained his MB BS from the University of Delhi in 2005. He subsequently completed MD in Internal Medcine from Univeristy of Delhi in 2009. He moved to United Kingdom in 2012 and completed his higher speciality training in Diabetes & Endocrinology in North West Deanery, Health Education England in 2019.

    He speaks English, Hindi, and Punjabi.

    Dr Kochhar's care has been absolutely superb - life changing for me.
