Ms Rupan Banga

Ms Rupan Banga is a highly accomplished ENT Consultant and Consultant Otologist who specialises in ear, nose, and throat surgery, with a particular focus on advanced otology and auditory implant surgery. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care for both adult and paediatric patients experiencing complex hearing and ear-related conditions. Her clinical practice encompasses a wide range of treatments, from routine ENT procedures to highly specialised interventions for hearing loss and ear disorders.

With a deep interest in auditory rehabilitation, Ms Banga has extensive expertise in the surgical management of hearing impairment. Her areas of clinical focus include bone-anchored hearing implants, semi-implantable bone conduction devices, and transcutaneous implants. She is highly skilled in treating conditions such as conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, and single-sided deafness. In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed significantly to the advancement of her field through extensive research into bone conduction hearing pathways, implant stability, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Ms Banga began her medical journey at the University of Sheffield, where she studied Medicine and graduated with her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1998. She subsequently undertook rigorous postgraduate training in otolaryngology, culminating in her being awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (FRCS (ORL-HNS)). Demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence and clinical innovation, she also completed a PhD at Radboud University Nijmegen, where her doctoral research focused on paediatric percutaneous bone-anchored hearing devices.
