Dr Roxanne Annoh

Dr Roxanne Annoh is a dedicated and highly skilled Ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive care for a wide range of eye conditions. With a strong clinical focus on General Ophthalmology, she has developed a particular subspecialty interest in Paediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus surgery. Dr Annoh is deeply committed to delivering patient-centred care, ensuring that both adult and paediatric patients receive the highest standard of treatment to preserve and improve their vision. Her reassuring and professional approach helps patients feel at ease throughout their clinical journey.

Beyond her direct clinical work, Dr Annoh is passionate about global blindness prevention, enhancing ophthalmic surgical education, and reducing health inequities. She has actively contributed to international eye care initiatives, including training Primary Eye Care Workers for diabetic retinopathy screening. Additionally, she is a strong advocate for simulation-based surgical education to improve training outcomes for future Ophthalmic Surgeons. Her dedication to equity in healthcare is further demonstrated by her leadership role as a Committee Lead for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

Dr Annoh completed her medical training at King's College London, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) alongside a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Anatomy and Human Sciences. To further her expertise in public eye health, she obtained a Master of Science in Public Health for Eye Care from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) and a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO), reflecting her advanced expertise and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ophthalmic practice.
