Dr Ross Muir

Dr Ross Muir is an accomplished Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in limb reconstruction, bone infection management, and complex orthopaedic trauma. With a patient-centred and reassuring approach to care, Dr Muir dedicatedly supports individuals suffering from severe skeletal injuries, complex limb deformities, and persistent bone and joint infections. His clinical practice focuses on restoring mobility, alleviating discomfort, and helping patients regain independence through meticulous surgical techniques.

Dr Muir commenced his educational journey by studying veterinary medicine at Cambridge University before transitioning to human medicine and earning his medical degree from Oxford University Medical School. He subsequently completed higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics across major trauma centres in Yorkshire. To deepen his sub-specialist expertise, Dr Muir undertook a specialist fellowship in bone infection and limb reconstruction, gaining extensive experience in orthoplastic techniques, frame constructs, and complex infection management.

In his clinical practice, Dr Muir provides expertise across a wide range of advanced surgical procedures, including circular external fixation, limb lengthening, deformity correction, surgical debridement for chronic osteomyelitis, and hip replacement surgery.
