Mr Andrew Edwards

Mr Andrew Edwards is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in lower limb orthopaedics, trauma and sports injuries. He is based in East Yorkshire at Goole and District Hospital and currently sees private patients at Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital and HMT St Hugh's Hospital. He runs a sports clinic and an injections clinic at Rehab and Recover clinic in Hull.

Mr Edwards completed his medical degree at St Bartholomew's Medical School in 1992. He later spent over two years working as a senior trainee with consultants at the Elective Orthopaedic Centre in Surrey where he specialised in hip and knee surgery. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999. During his training, Dr Edwards completed a trauma and knee surgery fellowship in New Zealand. In 2004 he began full time research in the anatomy of the ACL and PCL of the knee at Imperial College London and was awarded a Master of Surgery degree in 2011 for his work. He passed his specialty exam and became a Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2006. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports & Exercise Medicine from the University of Bath.

Mr Edwards was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Goole and District Hospital in 2011 and later became Orthopaedic Lead Surgeon. In his current clinical practices, he sees patients with both general and complex knee and hip conditions and sports injuries involvoing the lower limbs. Mr Edwards carries out the following procedures:
