Dr. Robin Forbes

Dr. Robin Forbes is a Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Specialist based in the Scottish Borders, serving the NHS Borders while also specialising in medicinal cannabis as part of his work with Mamedica and the Jorja Emerson Healthcare Group. With a keen interest in the evolving field of medicinal cannabis, Dr. Forbes prescribes this treatment for patients suffering from chronic persistent pain. Since March 2022, he has carried on his cannabis-related work as part of the Mamedica team.

Dr. Forbes has been a valued member of NHS Borders since March 2004, providing anaesthetic care for over 21 years. His extensive experience in pain management is complemented by his dedication to embracing innovative treatment options, including medicinal cannabis. Dr. Forbes studied Medicine at the University of Dundee in 1993.
