Dr. Rima Al-Saffar

Dr Rima Al-Saffar is a Paediatric Consultant and the general paediatric clinical lead at the Royal London Hospital. Her expertise is in the management of child health from general checkups to more specialist diagnostics with onward referrals to a sub-specialist if required. Her areas of interest include childhood asthma, feeding issues, growth concerns, abdominal pain, headache, recurrent infections, sleep problems, urine infections, and any other unusual presentations causing parental concern.

Dr Al-Saffar is passionate about ensuring the overall well-being of the child and family from early years onward. During her career, she has worked with the World Health Organisation and International Organisation for Migration and has experience working abroad in low resource settings. She has also spent time working with an NHS England programme to improve paediatric outcomes and pathways for the people living in Tower Hamlets

Dr Al-Saffar qualified from St. George's Hospital Medical School in 2003 and went on to complete a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the University of Liverpool.
