Dr Rashmi Jain

Consultant Immunologist, Dr Jain, is based at Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital in Oxford where she sees patients suffering from a number of conditions including food allergies, oral allergy syndrome, aeroallergen allergy (caused by pollen, house dust mites, moulds, and animal dander), anaphylaxis, urticaria and angioedema, bee and wasp venom allergy, and medication allergy. She is also able to offer skin prick tests and blood tests. Dr Jain is able to treat those with immunological deficiencies, particularly primary and secondary antibody deficiency, as well as individuals with C1 esterase inhibitor deficiency, which results in hereditary and acquired angioedema.

Dr Jain earned her bachelor's degree and her doctorate in medicine from CMC, Punjab University in India. She obtained her MRCP in 2003 and went on to gain her FRC Path in Immunology a Diploma in Clinical Education. In 2014, she joined Oxford University as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, and she is the current clinical lead for allergy at the oxford University Hospital Trust.

Dr Jain enjoys teaching and regularly lectures on the Integrated MSc Immunology programme and the Biochemistry Course at the University of Oxford. She also teaches medical students and presents allergy lectures to GPs on training days.
