Miss Randa Omer

Miss Randa Omer is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 20 years of experience in women’s health. She has a specialist focus on minimally invasive gynaecological procedures and is particularly recognised for her expertise in colposcopy and the management of cervical abnormalities.

She leads the colposcopy service at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where she cares for women with abnormal cervical screening results, irregular bleeding, and post-coital bleeding. Her work includes performing procedures such as large loop excision of the transformation zone (LLETZ) and cold coagulation for cervical ectropion.

Her clinical practice also encompasses a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for menstrual disorders. She performs hysteroscopic procedures, including endometrial ablation and the resection of polyps and fibroids. In addition, she specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for conditions such as chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and carries out total laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Miss Omer trained across Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, giving her broad experience in managing gynaecological conditions within diverse, multi-ethnic populations. She further advanced her expertise by completing a Master’s degree in Laparoscopy and Robotic Surgery at Anglia Ruskin University, supporting her focus on delivering high-quality minimally invasive surgical care for benign gynaecological conditions.
