Dr Ramesh Kuppusamy

Dr Ramesh Kuppusamy is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist currently practising at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH NHS Trust), a position he has held since 2020. His clinical work encompasses obstetrics, gynaecology and fetal medicine, with experience in both the United Kingdom and Malaysia.

Dr Kuppusamy graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India, where he studied from 1990 to 1996. He subsequently developed a specialist interest in fetal medicine and undertook a Research Fellowship in Fetal Medicine at King's College London between 2004 and 2006. During this period, he was involved in fetal medicine research and training activities and became a certified trainer in specialist fetal medicine programmes.

Prior to his appointment in the NHS, Dr Kuppusamy worked as a Consultant in Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 2013 to 2020. In this role, he provided specialist fetal medicine services and contributed to the teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

His professional experience includes the assessment and management of pregnancies requiring specialist fetal medicine input, alongside general obstetric and gynaecological care.
