Mr Rajiv Gogna

Mr. Rajiv Gogna is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Upper Limb Surgeon, specialising in complex shoulder, elbow, and hand surgeries. After completing his trauma and orthopaedic training through the Warwick Orthopaedic Training Programme in the West Midlands, he pursued advanced sub-specialist training at the renowned Derby Upper Limb Unit and Pulvertaft Hand Centre, known for its expertise in upper limb surgery.

Mr. Gogna’s practice spans all areas of upper limb surgery, including both elective procedures and trauma care. He has a particular focus on 3D computer-guided shoulder replacement surgery and minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures. He has performed over 100 shoulder replacements and more than 1,000 arthroscopic shoulder surgeries, including rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stabilisation, frozen shoulder release, and acromioclavicular joint excisions.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Gogna has been actively involved in teaching, research, audit, and leadership roles. He was appointed as a substantive upper limb consultant at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust in June 2021, where he also serves as the Trauma Lead and Quality Improvement Lead for the division of surgery. His dedication to innovation and improving clinical care led him to complete the prestigious BOA Future Leaders Programme, equipping him with the skills to drive positive change and enhance healthcare delivery in his field.
