Dr Rahul Roy

Dr Rahul Roy is a Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Neonatologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for newborns, infants, and children. Dedicated to delivering reassurance and clarity to families, he diagnoses and manages a broad range of paediatric health conditions. Dr Roy focuses on offering tailored medical management that prioritises the long-term health, safety, and developmental well-being of every young patient.

With advanced expertise in Neonatal Medicine and Paediatric Cardiology, Dr Roy manages complex neonatal intensive care conditions alongside childhood cardiac concerns. His clinical focus includes the investigation and management of heart murmurs, central cyanosis, chest pain, palpitations, syncope, dizziness, and suspected arrhythmias, as well as screening for congenital heart defects and Kawasaki disease. In addition, Dr Roy possesses specialist experience in critical neonatal interventions, including therapeutic hypothermia cooling, management of patent ductus arteriosus, chronic lung disease, and secondary pulmonary hypertension.

Dr Roy earned his primary medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh, qualifying in 1997. He subsequently completed extensive postgraduate training in the North-West of England, undertaking subspecialty training in Neonatology across Liverpool and Manchester, alongside dedicated experience in paediatric and neonatal cardiac care. He maintains active professional memberships with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the European Society for Paediatric Research, and the British Medical Association.
