Rahul graduated in Medicine from the University of Nottingham in 2007, following which he moved to West Yorkshire for his junior doctor years. Rotations in rheumatology and A&E shaped his early interest in musculoskeletal medicine. After completing his GP training in 2012 he developed a career combining General Practice with jobs in elite sport.
