Was in for prostate procedure which was fully explained and went well. Originally an overnight stay was expected but was allowed to leave later on the day of the procedure. Antibiotics were prescribed and details of what to expect post op were given to me orally and in written form. It was overall a very good experience. Mr Kaba kept a check on my progress throughout the day.

I attended the Nuffield hospital for aquablation of the prostate. The whole experience was very good, excellent treatment from the staff and very attentive treatment from Mr Kaba. My procedure already seems to be very effective and I am very pleased that I adopted aquablation and Mr Kaba to carry it out.

Suffered from a long standing benign enlarged prostate which was interfering with life. The diagnosis involved invasive tests but was quickly arranged. The advice for treatment was clear. The options were explained and a recommendation made. I had an aquablation and could have probably gone home that night but for a delay caused by some equipment. All very professional. Returned a week later to have a catheter removed- overseen during the day by Mr Kaba - again crisp and direct - and a very good overall result. He was recommended to me and I would do the same

It was necessary to have a period of admission to Warwick Hospital to deal with my issue of urine retention created by the blocking of the urethra exit by the prostate gland. Following family discussions, I decided to have Aquablation surgery rather than the TURP option to tailor the prostate to allow urine emission. This was carried out at Nuffield Hospital under the management of Mr Rahim Kaba. The process of the Aquablation procedure was described by Mr Kaba with subsequent discussion regarding the steps to be carried out. The staff were fully conversant with what was required and took me directly to the anaesthetist in the theatre for a general anaesthetic. The anaesthetist explained what would happen and ensured that I understood the procedure. The next step was the awakening back in the private room. The catheter had been re-inserted to control the bladder until the next phase when trial without catheter would take place. All this whilst ensuring I was not in pain or discomfort. The procedure’s original expectation included overnight observation. However, both the surgery and post-surgery results were more than satisfactory allowing a discharge by the end of the day. Ten days later the trial without catheter took place at the Nuffield Hospital. The nurse withdrew the catheter from the urethra and proceeded with the monitoring of fluid input & output and calculating the bladder reservoir using ultrasound scanning. This was carried out throughout the day to a successful conclusion.

I was referred to Mr Kaba by my GP for treatment for BPH. From the first meeting I found Mr Kaba to be empathetic and approachable. He listened to my concerns and explained things clearlY and discussed a range of potential treatments with me. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Kaba

It was a very positive experience overall. The operation happened relatively quickly after the consultation. Mr Kaba and all the other members of the team got me through the operation very smoothly and home the day after. Most important Mr Kaba' s skill has brought about a successful outcome. The nurse who rang the following day was very helpful channel for questions I thought of afterwards.
