Mr Raghuram Boyapati

Mr Raghuram Boyapati is a Consultant Oral, Maxillofacial, and Head and Neck Surgeon at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, where he holds a substantive post with clinical commitments in Ashford, Canterbury, and Margate. He is dually qualified in both medicine and dentistry, bringing extensive expertise to the management of conditions affecting the face, mouth, jaws, and neck. His work covers head and neck cancer, oral cancer, salivary gland pathology, facial skin cancer, facial trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, and a wide range of complex maxillofacial procedures.

Mr Boyapati completed his BDS and MDS in Oral Surgery in India before undertaking postgraduate dental examinations, followed by his MBBCh from Trinity College Dublin. He then proceeded to complete medical Royal College examinations (MRCS) and progressed into a comprehensive five-year higher surgical training programme in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery. Through this training, he gained broad experience in dentoalveolar surgery, head and neck cancer surgery, salivary gland surgery, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma management, and the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer involving the face.

He achieved the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh after completing the Surgical Exit Examination and receiving the Certificate of Completion of Training. His senior training and dual clinical background led to his appointment as a Consultant Head and Neck Surgeon in East Kent, where he provides specialist care for a wide range of maxillofacial and oncological conditions. He also accepts referrals from GPs, dental practitioners and self-referring patients for the assessment and treatment of oral and maxillofacial pathology.

Mr Boyapati is an active member of the European Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeons and a fellow of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His specialist interests include head and neck cancer resection and reconstruction, the management of salivary gland disease, skin cancer surgery, facial trauma, and complex dentoalveolar surgery.
