He is highly specialised in inflammatory eye diseases, corneal surgery, and cataract surgery. Being in the medical field myself I am very picky about who I would see for my inflammatory eye issues. I have been seeing Prof Ayliffe for a number of years and I would not trust anyone else! He is superb, very personable and knowledgable. His wider team are reliable and responsive and have accommodated me even when his diary is full. Great patient experience and satisfaction!

I found Professor Ayliffe a very affable specialist. He put me totally at ease, explained the procedure and expected outcome. He, of course, also spoke about the possible side effects but left me with little worry over this small procedure. He was totally professional throughout and I would have no hesitation on my experiences in recommending his services.

My ratings are based on the excellence of my initial consultation and confidence I got to proceed with the procedure through to an unhurried meeting with Professor Ayliffe shortly before the operation. My care throughout was thorough and caring. I was given careful instructions for post operative care, behaviour and medications. My follow up consultation with professor Ayliffe tested and explained the results of the procedure including what to do next, when some conditions would change and when to see my regular optician for a further check. All my questions were answered by professor Ayliffe in a friendly and encouraging manner
