I thankfully found Professor Vaidya as I wished to avoid having a full course of radiotherapy following a lumpectomy. Less than an hour after contacting him, he personally called me. Throughout this journey, he has always been professional, caring, supportive and answered every single question with total honesty. He with others, "pioneered" TARGET-IORT treatment and this is what I went had, having been identified as a suitable candidate. I have now been through successful surgery and I am convinced I have taken the very best course of treatment for me at this time with the personal support of Professor Vaidya and his team. I could not recommend him more highly.

Professor Vaidya provided a service beyond my highest expectations. I have total trust in his truly excellent clinical and surgical skills. His professionalism, personal support and communications are second to none. I'm extremely grateful for his care and unreservedly recommend him (but not to too many, in case I still want space in his clinic diary!). Dr Debbie E

After an unfortunately experience with the NHS on my diagnosis, I didn't feel comfortable proceeding and looked online for what my other options were. I found Professor Vaidya from his pioneering advancements with Breast Cancer treatment and instantly made an appointment. I was contacted right away and had multiple consultations in the lead up to my surgery. He was incredibly thorough in explaining all aspects and went above and beyond to ensure that I understood all aspects of not only the surgery, but cancer genetics and also treatment after my lumpectomy. The surgery was an incredibly success (clear margins, tumour entirely removed), but the after care was just as impressive. The Professor checked in regularly after my surgery, and even after I have moved onto the next phase of my treatment, he still reached out to ask how I was doing and for updates. Honestly, one of the best decisions I have ever made (my family thinks so as well) to proceed with Professor Vaidya as my surgeon and I cannot thank you enough!

Prof Vaidya has been very caring and professional throughout my cancer experience. He explained my surgical options clearly and took the time to go through the risks and benefits of these options. He has always examined me gently. The scars from my operation are neat. I feel I am in very good hands.

I found Professor Vaidya after local NHS hospital and private consultant were unable to operate quickly enough. He jumped into action and organised the relevant wide-ranging scans and tests so that he was able to perform a mastectomy incredibly quickly enabling me to catch up on the previous delays. He performed a miracle! He is so accessible and makes you feel so cared for and special. I now have so much faith and trust in him that it has made my diagnosis go from frightening and out of control to manageable. I will always be in his debt. His nurses, Amelia and Helen are so kind and are always there for you.

I underwent a lumpectomy with intraoperative radiotherapy and Professor Vaidya was with me every step of the way - from initial Zoom conferences to various tests and scans, to meeting me at recovery, and to excellent after care.

I came to see Prof. Vaidya for a second opinion about my breast cancer and I decided to stay with him as I felt in safe hands right away due to his experience and passion for helping patients. Professor Vaidya is highly engaged in the field and led many groundbreaking studies such as inoperative radiotherapy which is why I came to see him. He and his team really care about their patients and Professor Vaidya followed up regularly with me over the phone as soon as results become available and he never grew tired of the many questions I asked. His caution and instinct to remove more skin during the mastectomy saved me from further surgeries as it turned out the extra skin he removed also had tumours in it. I highly recommend Professor Vaidya as a breast consultant.

Prof Jayant Vaidya is a superb surgeon, and I am delighted with the result of my lumpectomy surgery. Prof, known affectionately by his colleagues listened to my initial anxieties and spent a great deal of time explaining the procedures to me beforehand. I believe he researched every detail of my particular case before he operated to make sure I got the best result. I felt very safe & confident of his ability to make the best decisions for me under his care. I was also very touched that he kept in contact with me after my operation to check how I was feeling, calling me on a Saturday morning on his day off. He also guided me through the next stage of my treatment, giving me the best advice form his knowledge and experience as a cancer breast surgeon. I would recommend Prof Vaidya to any of my loved ones and friends. Thank you Prof Claire x
