I’ve been seeing Prof Vaidya regularly during the last 4 years, from the dark days of cancer diagnostic testing to the now 6 monthly check-ups. I have always found Prof Vaidya to be caring and supportive, communicating effectively with me at every stage of the journey; at the same time he’s an experienced and knowledgeable clinician utilising and pioneering state-of-the art technology. I will always be grateful to him for his excellent breast-conserving surgery, which made it so much easier for me to be positive about the future. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

From the first time I met Prof Vaidya, when I got my cancer diagnosis, he was very gentle and reassuring, after a traumatic experience at the hospital previously when I had my ultrasound and biopsy. He is very approachable and caring and has always explained very clearly what any procedures involve. Following my surgery when I had some problems with my wound healing he was available to help and reassure and fix the problem. My scar is now barely visible almost five years on. And I always feel like I'm in very good hands when I come to see him for checkup appointments - he is very thorough and kind and interested in how I am.

My experience of being treated and operated on by Prof. Jayant Vaidya was second to none - he was kind, explained everything at length as though there was all the time in the world to talk and very efficient with planning and timing of the procedure. He went out of his way to make the whole episode as painless and smooth as possible and not one paracetamol was needed on my return home! The follow up was excellent too.

Professor Jayant is a rare human who clearly understands the necessity of considering the feelings and concerns of his patients as a priority. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 month ago. After 3 weeks of the diagnosis I was operated on. Before and after the operation the Professor explained everything in detail. It all went smoothly and quickly. I was very afraid of the surgery. But looking back I should not have been, I was in good hands. My tumor was 25mm, but my breast is as beautiful as before. I am glad Professor Vaidya was my surgeon. After a month I do not have any pain, and all the scars have almost healed. The professor keeps following up. So I would recommend Prof Vaidya to anybody who is in this situation.

One of my best experience, I have approached him and his team, on a Sunday morning, without any hope that I will receive a call back and an online appointment, for that day- this, for me ,was very reassuring. During the appointment, Professor Vaidya was very calm, he listen and allowed me to speak about all my anxiety relating to my breast issues and to my general health too, looking for the cause and the diagnostic- being pleasantly investigative, simultaneously offering the peace of mind that I am well looked after.
