Professor Christopher Nutting is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Royal Marsden Chelsea and Sutton, where he has both a private and NHS practice.Â
Professor Nutting completed his undergraduate training at the University of London in 1992 and he went on to become a member of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. Professor Nutting qualified as an oncologist and achieved a Medical Doctorate at The Institute of Cancer Research, University of London.
Professor Nutting has a special interest in medical education and in 2001 he was appointed Honorary Senior Lecturer in Clinical Oncology at The Institute of Cancer Research. In 2002 he assumed the role of Teacher at the University of London and Head of the Head and Neck Unit at The Royal Marsden.
Professor Nutting is National Clinical Lead in Head and Neck Cancer for the UK Department of Health and the Cancer Services Collaborative. He is also President of the British Oncological Association and Chairman of the National Cancer Research Institute Committee for Head and Neck Cancer Research.
Professor Nutting is heavily involved in research trials and he has published over 300 research articles in his speciality.
