Professor Christopher Nutting

Professor Christopher Nutting is a world leader in cancer care. He is renowned for developing state-of-the-art treatments to reduce side effects and improve cure rates for head and neck cancer patients.

He is the President of the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists, Past-President of the Royal Society of Medicine Oncology Section, the Chairman of the UK Proton Beam Therapy Research Strategy Group and an NIHR Senior Investigator. He is a past president of the British Oncological Association and was for many years Chairman of the National Cancer Research Institute Committee for Head and Neck Cancer Research.

Professor Nutting is particularly interested in education and research. He is a Professor of Radiotherapy at the Institute of Cancer Research (University of London) and has been a visiting professor at several American Cancer Institutes. He is highly involved in research trials and has more than 350 research publications in his field.

He graduated from the University of London in 1992 and went on to become a member of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He received his oncology training and Medical Doctorate from the Institute of Cancer Research (University of London).
