Professor Simon Bowman

Prof Simon Bowman is a Consultant Rheumatologist appointed to the post of NHS Consultant Rheumatologist at Milton Keynes University Hospital since October 2017. Dr Bowman has a broad base of experience and knowledge in general rheumatology, with a particular interest in inflammatory conditions, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and gout. He also has a longstanding clinical and research interest in Sjogren's syndrome.

Prof Bowman qualified in Medicine at University College London Hospitals, completing further training and a PhD at Guy's Hospital, rheumatology training in Oxford and qualifying as a Consultant Rheumatologist in Birmingham in 1996. Over and above his Consulting work Prof Bowman has previously worked as President of the British Society for Rheumatology and currently he holds the role of Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham.
