Mr Prem Chana

Mr Prem Chana is a Consultant UGI and General Surgeon with specialist training in complex upper gastrointestinal surgery. He graduated from the University of Exeter in 2008 and completed Core Surgical Training in Bristol, during which he gained an MSc in Surgical Sciences from the University of Edinburgh. He subsequently completed Higher Surgical Training in Oxford and a doctoral thesis at Imperial College London, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2019.

Mr Chana then undertook subspecialist fellowship training in complex upper gastrointestinal surgery, including a Senior Oesophagogastric/Bariatric Fellowship in Melbourne, an RCS Senior Clinical Fellowship in Oesophagogastric Cancer Surgery in London and an AUGIS Travelling Fellowship in New York.

He continues to contribute to surgical outcome-based research and supervises PhD research. He is a member of the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery (AUGIS).
