Dr Philip James Atherton

Dr Philip James Atherton is an established Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the comprehensive management and non-surgical treatment of adult cancers. He provides expert clinical care across complex oncological conditions, utilising advanced treatment modalities to deliver personalised and reassuring patient care. His practice encompasses both systemic anti-cancer therapies and modern radiation techniques, ensuring patients receive structured, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.

Dr Atherton has dedicated clinical expertise in managing thoracic malignancies, including lung cancer and mesothelioma, as well as gastrointestinal cancers involving the oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, biliary tract, colon, and rectum. Within his field, he focuses on delivering advanced therapeutic interventions, including chemotherapy and precision radiotherapy.
